Deb's Working Hard Today...

...poolside at the Fish Bar.

We walked along the beach today at low tide just south of the Marriott. Tide retreats, exposing almost a half mile of the shoreline to an old, dead reef. The live reef is several miles off shore. You can see the waves breaking in the distance. We are told it's a surfers paradise out there.

Momi Bay, Fiji Sunset

We've Arrived...

...at the Marriott Momi Bay about an hour south of Nadi on Fuji's Coral Coast.

Deb is pointing out our room.

Touch Screen Coffee Ordering

There's a touch screen ordering system to queue up custom coffee drinks at the Air NZ Lounge.

Hello Auckland!

We landed in Auckland, New Zealand at 5:38am Monday morning, Sept 4 after a pleasant 12 hour overnight flight from San Francisco.

Deb and Mike both figured out how to turn their seats into comfortable lie-flat beds, after a tasty dinner on the flight shortly after to departure.

Mike had a tasty, perfectly grilled bacon cheeseburger, while Deb had an unmemorable chicken entree. Ice cream for dessert!

We both got a restful sleep, and awoke for a 3am breakfast of Eggs Benedict.

An uneventful landing in the dark, a short passage thru security to the transfer gates, and then a short visit at the Air New Zealand Star Alliance lounge.
